The Geolocation bill being thrown out deeply upsets me. Cybersecurity is a great hobby and passion of mine, but it can also be
very worrying. Technology can be used in ways that average everyday people are vulnerable too, especially with GPS. A tool that
I use all the time, for some people thats everyday. People get things wrong all the time, including instances of investigations.
I think to premptively allow tracking on a unknowing individual is horrible and it makes some paranoid. I think they should only
warrant tracking on individuals they know have done something wrong and are in active investigation, people like
cartel leaders, cult leaders, serial killers, the worst of the worst. I don't think that people that are just suspected
of doing something, especially something non-violent deserve to be tracked.
